1. Package Content

Thank you for purchasing PLANET VC-RPS200 / VC-RPS48

redundant power supply unit.

Model Description

VC-RPS200

Redundant Power Supply, 100-240V AC

50/60 Hz

VC-RPS48

Redundant Power Supply, DC -48V

Upon open the box of the VC-RPS200 / VC-RPS48 and

carefully unpack it. The box should contain the following

items:

• VC-RPS200 / VC-RPS48 x 1

• This User’s Manual x 1

• Attachment Screws x 1

If any item is found missing or damaged, please contact

your local reseller for replacement.

2. Install and remove the

VC-RPS200 / VC-RPS48

Before installation, please be sure to read this user’s

manual carefully to complete power supply installation. In

the installation steps below, this manual shows VC-RPS200

/ VC-RPS48 to install and remove in VC-2400MR as the

example.

Note

The VC-RPS200 / VC-RPS48 support Hot-Swap;

you can swap the power supply even the Switch

is still operating, but please be noticed that turn

the power switch to OFF before plug in or pull

out the redundant power supply.

To install VC-RPS200 / VC-RPS48 into VC-2400MR, please

make sure the VC-RPS200 / VC-RPS48 power switch has

turned to OFF then gently slide in VC-RPS200 / VC-RPS48

into the slot and fasten the hand screw clockwise to x

power supply well. After installed power cable, you can turn

the power switch to ON.

To remove a VC-RPS200 / VC-RPS48 unit, please loose the

hand screw counter clockwise and pull out the redundant

power supply unit from the VDSL2 Switch.

3. Wiring the power inputs of DC -48V

When install the VC-RPS48 into the VC-2400MR, please

follow below steps to insert the DC power wire.

Note

In the installation steps below, this manual use

wire cable to install VC-RPS48 as the example.

(The wire cable is not included with this

product.)

1. Insert the negative wire

(Black) into the “FG” connector

and tighten the wire-clamp for prevent the DC wire to

loose.

2. Insert the positive wire

(Red) into the “-48V DC”

connector and tighten the wire-clamp for prevent the DC

wire to loose.
